Testimonials
Samantha Greenspan: Working with Lynda has been an incredibly inspiring experience. Her passion for art is contagious, and she has a unique talent for bringing out creativity in every student, no matter their skill level. Lynda's classes are not only about technique but also about expression, exploration, and confidence. Lynda creates a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel safe to experiment and grow. I loved working with Lynda on my portfolio and I am going to miss her. Thanks to Lynda, I’ve developed not only as an artist but also as a more creative thinker which is going to help me in college. I can’t recommend Lynda highly enough.
Carrie Brand: As a high school senior preparing my art portfolio for college, working with Lynda has made all the difference. I began with Lynda during the shut down and continued with zoom lessons. I am not from the area. I thought it would be impossible to complete an art portfolio via zoom-however with her guidance, honest feedback, and deep knowledge of both technique and concept development helped me grow tremendously as an artist and I can see the finish line to uploading my portfolio come this December. Lynda pushed me to explore ideas I wouldn’t have considered on my own, and she always knew how to challenge me without overwhelming me. Thanks to her support, my portfolio truly reflects who I am—and I feel confident heading into the next step. I’m incredibly grateful for everything Lynda taught me.
Robin Smith: My daughter completed her art portfolio for college with Lynda. It was very complicated due to the fact we didn't know about Lynda and her amazing studio until the summer before my daughters' senior year. All I want to share is I know my child would not have gotten into all her reach schools if it weren't for Lynda. Creating an art portfolio for college is a pivotal step in any aspiring artist's academic journey. It's a visual statement of who you are as a young artist. One of Lynda's greatest strengths is her approachability. Lynda, Lynda, Lynda... is not just a teacher—she’s a mentor who instills a deep love for art. She brings out the best in her students and leaves a lasting impact that extends far beyond the classroom. Anyone lucky enough to be taught by her is sure to develop not only their artistic skills but a greater appreciation for the creative process itself. We love you!
Wendy Flowers: I recently took an Intro to Watercolor Painting class with Lynda, and I can confidently say it was an incredibly rewarding and extremely fun experience. From the moment the class began, Lynda created an inviting and supportive atmosphere that made me feel comfortable as a beginner. She has a wonderful way of explaining complex techniques in a simple, digestible manner, plus her sense of humor kept me laughing through my many mistakes. What I loved most was Lynda's teaching style is patient and clear. She walked me through each step with detailed demonstrations, then gave me plenty of time to practice on my own. She encouraged questions throughout, which helped me feel confident asking for clarification when needed. Thank you Lynda, looking forward to my summer classes so I can continue my growth.
Susie Goldenburg: There are not enough words to say about Lynda and her approach to helping my daughter navigate her portfolio. She pushed when needed and allowed her to express what was beneath the surface. Your love, dedication, and hard work have not gone unnoticed. We are so grateful to have found you. Your passion shines through everything you do. Thank you for making this college process so easy. Additionally, thank you to your son for his help, his words, and his WRITE APPROACH.
Beth Moore: I wanted to take a few moments to thank you for the incredible support, love, and guidance you have provided our two girls this year. Your patience, encouragement, and dedication have made all the difference in their progress. My wife and I are amazed at how far they have come under your tutelage, and we are forever grateful for your unwavering belief in Kim's and Ava's, full potential. Thank you for being an amazing teacher and role model. We are with you until they complete their art portfolio.
Laura Singer: Lynda, Lynda, Lynda, finding the words. I guess keeping it simple, thank you for creating such a warm and welcoming learning environment for your students. My children come home each week sharing countless Lynda stories about your class, and we are grateful for the joy and enthusiasm you bring to teaching. Your patience, kindness, and understanding have not gone unnoticed, and we appreciate all that you do to make learning a fun and positive experience. Art is a complex form of communication and you have been able to allow it to speak to each child that walks through your door individually. Thank you for being an exceptional teacher.
Maya Roy: With Lynda's gentle ways and passion for the arts, being an Artful schemes student has been a joy. Lynda has gracefully taught her students how to develop their artistic skills, guiding them to learn the necessary techniques, while simultaneously helping students establish their own signature style. Being her student for these last five years has been an invaluable experience, as she is a wonderful mentor on matters both inside and outside of the studio.
Marcie Myerow: My three children have been going to Lynda for 4 years and have been loving every minute of it. They have learned so much about the techniques and mediums to experience.
Dennis Dunn: We were very pleased with the business relationship we shared with Lynda while she guided our daughter to create her best work. Lynda's skills helped Ally organize her collection of work in a beautiful viewable format. We found her services to be dependable, friendly, and open over the years Ally was with her. Lynda's attention to detail and willingness to listen to our needs was extremely important to our family. We love Lynda and are sad that we ran out of children to put through college.
Gia Isaacs: My daughter Ashley has been working with Lynda for about 6 years. She’s loved every art-filled year including this one. Whether the lessons are in person or virtual, Lynda gives attention, instruction, and guidance to kids and meets them at their skill level. This year alone Ashley has learned so much including how to draw facial features, something that’s previously challenged her. Ashley and I are both so grateful for Lynda and Artful schemes!
